In Demand Makes Titles Worth $2.5 Billion At Box Office Available

Led by The Dark Knight, In Demand is rolling out the industry’s biggest ever slate of movies on demand. 

 

During December and January, In Demand will deliver blockbuster hits with a cumulative domestic box office revenue of $2.5 billion. 

 

Among the myriad titles it is making available, In Demand will distributed a dozen movies that grossed more than $100 million in a piece. Warner Bros.’ The Dark Knight, starring Christian Bale as Batman and the late Heath Ledger as The Joker, became available on-demand on Dec. 26. The Dark Knight is the second biggest film of all-time with a domestic take of almost $531 million.

 

In descending order of box office performance, In Demand has or will make these titles available: Columbia Pictures’Hancock on Dec. 30; Walt Disney Pictures and Pixar Animation Studios’ WALL-E on Jan. 2; Dreamworks Animation’s Kung Fu Panda on Dec. 22; Twentieth Century Fox’s Dr. Seuss’ Horton Hears a Who! on Jan. 7; Universal Pictures’ Mamma Mia!on Jan. 29; Disney and Walden Media’s The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian on Jan. 1; Universal’s Wanted on Jan. 15; Dreamworks’ Tropic Thunder on Dec. 24; Universal’s The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor on Jan. 29; Columbia’sStep Brothers on Jan. 16; and Dreamworks’ Eagle Eye on Jan. 26.
